Our day at Hearst Castle...

One of our days in California we had the chance to go to Hearst Castle. Craig had been there before but it was my first time. I think no matter how many times you go, there will still be new stuff to see. I would say that if you are ever in the Morro Bay area it is totally worth it! So much history and culture it really is cool. Just make sure your camera batteries are charged :) We missed some pictures of the grand outdoor pool but still got some other ones...
about to start the tour...
This is the front of the main house, which is actually modeled after a Spanish church
view from the entrance of the "castle" at one time there used to be a personal zoo on the property with lions and polar bears and giraffe, apparently you can still see Zebra roaming around from time to time....crazy!
this was the mosaic on the floor of one of the entry ways....such finite detail!
no detail was left untouched...even the ceilings are totally decorated and AMAZING
the main table
Craig in the dining hall
This is the indoor pool...it took 3 men like 5 years or something crazy to lay the tile...those are all individual little pieces like 1 in by 1 in
