Food for thought from Ronald Dunn: The Triangle of Prayer

  • We are never more like Christ than when we are prayin for others.
  • Intercession is laying down our life for our friend; it its bearing one another's burden; it is sharing in the sufferings of Christ.
  • Daring, bold, audacious-these are the only adjectives that rightly describe intercessory praying.
  • BATTLES ARE NOT WON BY THE NONCHALANT!
  • Maybe God planted you where you are because He knew that a friend in his journey would pass your way, and maybe God wants you to identify with his need and in Jesus' name meet that need. This person is your inescapable responsibility!
  • If the church does not learn to knock boldly at the Father's door, her magnificent sanctuaries will become empty breadboxes, and starving travelers, finding no bread at her doors, will turn away from the choreographed worship, their stomachs still empty and their bellies aching!
  • NO ONE GOES FROM THE FATHER EMPTY HANDED!
If a man gets hungry enough, he'll eat bread from a garbage can!
You can be sure that if he walks away from the church empty handed-
the devil will be waiting for him with plenty of garbage can bread!
